A wedding is a thousand things happening at once. My work is to disappear, and bring back the ones that mattered. Below, a selection across many weddings.
One wedding, told start to finish. From the quiet of getting ready to the last dance.
I am a Brazilian documentary wedding photographer. I believe a wedding should be lived, not directed, so I don't arrange people or ask them to smile. I wait, I watch, and I photograph what is real: the tear a father tries to hide, the laughter no one planned, the light falling exactly where it should.
My language is contrast. Deep shadow, honest light, black and white. Not to hide, but to strip a moment down to its feeling.
